Software Engineer

I love creating software with cutting edge technologies
that bring people to the position where they can solve problems.

About

My name is Ben Jewett, I am from Philadelphia and have 7+ years of experience programming interactive applications professionally. My speciality is in designing systems and implementing solutions that work well for both people and computer hardware. With an involved background in technology, design, art, and games, I have come to find the manifestation of various proficiencies to be greater than the sum of their parts.

I’m always up for a new challenge, which would explain my past life as a Peace Corps volunteer in Madagascar. Working on a very human level and bridging cultural gaps helped me to understand delicate balance in determining the best solution for any problem. Whether it be digging a well, designing a textbook, or programming an application, building things is at the root of what I love and enjoy doing.

Most of my work has been around cutting edge technologies like VR, AR, mobile, interactive installations, and anything that pushes the limits of technology. It has been a thrill to combine my abilities with initiatives and products that have a mission to improve the world around us. When not working I love to cook, go bowling, and travel with my wife. If you’d like to work with me I’d love to hear from you.
